What are the Free plan limits?
The Free plan covers one active course with up to 30 students. It includes the onboarding survey, algorithmic group formation, co-signed group agreements, and group health signals. Peer evaluation and CSV / Canvas roster import are Instructor Pro features.
What happens when I reach the Free plan limit?
You can keep using your course forever. To add a second course, go past 30 students, or turn on peer evaluation and CSV import, upgrade to Instructor Pro for unlimited courses and students.
Is peer evaluation included on the Free plan?
Peer evaluation is an Instructor Pro feature. Free covers group formation, agreements, and group health so you can run a full project; upgrade when you want to add structured peer evaluation.
Do students need to pay anything?
No. GroupWorks is instructor-side software. Students never see a paywall — they just get an invite link.
Can I cancel Pro at any time?
Yes. Cancel from your Billing page and you keep Pro access through the end of the period. After that you revert to Free — your data stays, but you return to the one-course, 30-student limit.
What LMS integrations are available?
CSV roster import is available today on Instructor Pro and works with any LMS. Direct Canvas integration (OAuth roster import and LTI 1.3 deep-linking) is on the roadmap. Blackboard and Moodle are planned further out.
How does department / institution pricing work?
We quote a flat annual fee based on the number of instructors. Purchase orders and invoicing are supported. Email us to get a quote in one business day.
