The Free plan covers one active course with up to 30 students. It includes the onboarding survey, algorithmic group formation, co-signed group agreements, group health signals, CSV roster import, and email reminders. Peer evaluation, and unlimited courses and students, are Instructor Pro features.
Nothing is taken away. Your course keeps working, and you can keep it forever. Free is limited to one active course and 30 students, so a second active course, a larger roster, or peer evaluation needs Instructor Pro.
Yes. When a course is finished, archive it from the course page. An archived course stops counting toward your one active course, so you can create next term's. Nothing is deleted: you and your students can still read everything in the archived course, but it is read-only. You can unarchive it later if you have no other active course.
Peer evaluation is an Instructor Pro feature. Free covers group formation, agreements, and group health so you can run a full project; upgrade when you want to add structured peer evaluation.
No. GroupWorks is instructor-side software. Students never see a paywall — they just get an invite link.
Yes. Cancel from your Billing page and you keep Pro access through the end of the period. After that you revert to Free — your data stays, but you return to the one-active-course, 30-student limit.
